The Ministry of Culture, Government of India, has entrusted Sabarmati Ashram Preservation and Memorial Trust (SAPMT), the project – Gandhi Heritage Portal. It is The SAPMT has curated, designed, developed and also maintains it. The Gandhi Heritage Portal (www.gandhiheritageportal.org) is the largest online authentic digital archive on the life and thoughts of Mahatma Gandhi. It has been dedicated to the world by the Hon'ble Prime Minister of India in 2013. It has millions of digitized materials including books, manuscripts, photographs, audios, videos, virtual tours, 3D models of the buildings and artefacts etc. The Portal is maintained by financial support provided by the Ministry of Culture, Government of India under the Gandhi Heritage Sites Mission.
